I recently visited Dentists of Green Valley, and I cannot begin to say enough about the amazing experience. My 88-year-old mother woke up last weekend with pain in her jaw area. She moved into my home within the last year and has been battling other health issues and I haven’t been able to establish a Dentist for her yet. As one can imagine, hearing your elderly Mother is in pain and needs to see a Dentist can cause anxiety for any child or caregiver. Dentists of Green Valley is a newer dental office that opened in our community, I found their website through a simple google search and was able to make an appointment through their website for her to be seen the next day. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by their front office team member Cloey, who was so warm and friendly and guided us through an extremely easy check-in process. From there, we were greeted in the lobby by Dr. Matthew Hoyle. I can’t remember an office where a doctor came out to meet us first. From there, he did an intake asking about the pain she had been experiencing. At times, my mother has a tough time finding the right words to use or even has a challenging time hearing, and Dr. Hoyle was so patient and understanding. From there, dental assistant Sam came in to take her X-rays. My mother is a fall risk, so I was nervous and hovered a bit outside of the hall. While I’m sure hovering can be annoying, they completely understood. He was so patient in helping her to take a larger image while sitting in her walker. From there, Dr. Hoyle did a full exam, where he explained where the pain was coming from and how to resolve it. After that the office manager Joanna went over the cost with us thoroughly. My Mom received a comprehensive cleaning to get below her gum line and clean out the buildup that was there. He talked her through the entire process and would even stop and take small breaks based on her comfort level. By the end of the visit, we were set up for our next appointment, and my mom could not praise Dr. Hoyle and Sam enough for their patience on our drive home. Thank you, Dentists of Green Valley, for taking such great care of my mother and for supporting her special needs as an elderly patient. I am so grateful we have you in our neighborhood.
